An aspiring author messaged me to ask how I find time to write.
The truth is: I don’t. I MAKE time.
Writing is a job. I have to treat it like any job.
If I went to my day job and didn’t complete my tasks, would my boss still pay me? If I told him I wasn’t feeling it today, or my muse didn’t speak to me…would that pass or would I get fired? The same is true of writing. If you are or want to be a professional author, you must treat it like a real job and get it done no matter what, no excuses. If not, it’s an expensive, time-consuming hobby.
