We all have fabulous bookish tee shirts, but how does one even style those?
As a girl who kind of hates tee shirts to begin with, but totally wants to rep the community, I have to come up with creative ways to make teeshirts look cuter thn just tossing them on.
Here are my top five ways of rocking out bookish tees with a fashion flare!
1.) Embelish it with a statement necklace
Statement necklaces are great for adding a touch of flare and fashion to any outfit, no matter what you’re wearing. I love shoping at places like Charming Charlie, Forever 21, Francesca’s for statement jewelry!
2.) Pair with a pretty skirt
Nothing says girly like a killer skirt. Add in an awesome petter or touches of metalic fabrics for a bold, eye-catching look. I’m a fan of Old Navy, New York and Company, and JCPenny’s for dresses and skirts!
3.) Sweaters are styling
When in doubt, tuck your tee shirt in and set it off with a sweater (long or short sleeve) to add layers and dimension to your look. I get most of my sweaters at New York and Company and Old Navy.
4.) Top it off with a hat
Hats are one of my favorite things to wear and really polish off a look (and make your hair look fabulous even on bad hair days!) Pick one that stands out from your color pallet to make it pop or pick a similar color for a coordinated look. I love finding hats at Francesca’s, Old Navy, and Target.
5.) Pop on a purse
Purses are excellent accessories that instantly dress up an outfit. Whether you pick a shoulder bag or a clutch, be sure it has something special about the detailing on it to make it as unique as the rest of your outfit. Fun colors are a plus, but neutral colors are also eye catching. Some of my favorite purses are from Charming Charlie, Bass, Target, or Francesca’s.
