A few weeks ago I was asked a question on a live broadcast: do you ever write any real life things into your books?

And while I do use some things I’ve experienced to influence things within my books, I twist them so severely that it has it’s own very unique spin to it.

That being said, I do have a scene that is ripped right from my life. “The butterfly scene” as it was dubbed, was something that really happened to me. Of course, it has it’s unique spin to it within the book, but the core of that scene really, actually happened.

So while I can’t tell you exactly what the butterfly scene is…I can say that it will have an affect on you. Good or bad, I will not say.
